Our prep school facility is designed to fit our school values and mission. An open, friendly learning environment, our facility includes a gymnasium, theater, traveling technology center, language lab, outdoor learning and play, art studio, and music hall.

Secure

Entry to our facility is allowable through key fob entry only. A school-wide intercom system allows for immediate communication.

Jazzlynn Romero

Administrative Assistant
Biography

Jazzlynn Romero works as the Front Desk Administrator she will help answer and direct your questions to facilitate smooth communication between parents and the school. She was born and raised in San Jose, CA where she also attended San Jose State University and received her Bachelors in Social Work. She moved to South Carolina in 2021. She is a mom of 2 and 1 furbaby. She enjoys working out, shopping, and spending quality time with her family.

Chescyne McClure

Biography

Hi my name is Chescyne! I am a floater/ art teacher with a passion for nurturing and educating young minds. I was born here in Greenville, SC, and raised in Charlotte, NC! In addition to my teaching career, I am also a skilled nail technician, allowing me to express my creativity and attention to detail. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, trying new things, and discovering new hobbies.

Melissa Sharpless

Assistant Director
Biography

Mrs. Sharpless works with the 4-year-olds in our Pre-K classroom. She grew up in Sumter, South Carolina and graduated from Laurence Manning Academy.  She received a BA degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.  Mrs. Sharpless has taught pre-school for 17 years and loves working with her Pre-K group.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers!

Ann Messer

Mrs. Ann is very happy to be at CIPS. She does a variety of duties. Office assistant, classroom assistant, bus driver, teacher/classroom observer. But her favorite thing to do is interact with the students!  She taught in Heidelberg Germany, in a Developmental Delayed classroom for 11 years. Then after moving to SC she taught K-4 for SHARE Headstart for 28 years. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been married for 25 years. They have a son and daughter, with 5 grandchildren, 4 girls and 1 boy. Then to complete their family they have a Pitbull rescue dog!

Biography

Ms. Humera is the Assistant Director of our school. She was born and raised in New York. She moved to South Carolina in 2019. She joined our Carolina Prep family in July of 2023. She has a passion for working with children and seeing their eyes glow as they discover and learn something new. In her free time, she loves shopping and spending time with her fiancé and their daughter. She’s excited to be a part of the Carolina Prep family!

Kathy Ryan

Mrs. Kathy is from NH and have lived in Greenville for 18 years. She is married to my husband Mike and have three children and one Grandson. She’s been with Carolina Prep for fourteen years and has taught in Infant 2, toddlers, and pre-preppers. Her role is housekeeper but she likes to think I do a little of everything here and there! Helping teachers, keeping our school clean and landscaping where ever she can. On the weekends she likes to spend time with her family, shopping with her girls and date nights with her husband! When she has time she enjoys reading and baking! She’s glad to be continuing her path here, and keep spreading positivity at Carolina Prep.

Biography

Ms. Anna has lived in South Carolina her whole life. She has 5 brother and 2 sisters. She has been working in childcare since 2013. Ms. Anna enjoys reading, sports, and music. She has 2 dogs named Katie and Toby. Ms. Anna looks forward to teaching the children here at Carolina Prep.

Alexis Coleman

Biography

My name is Alexis Coleman, and I’m the 4th grade teacher here, and I also teach science and social studies to the 2nd graders! I grew up in the Clemson area where I went to D.W. Daniel High School, and then went to college at Southern Wesleyan University where I graduated with a bachelors in Elementary Education. I’ve worked for many elementary schools in the after-school care departments. This is my first year teaching full-time, and I’m excited to see how this year goes!

Autum Boivin

Biography

Autum is one of our floaters who has a year’s experience in childcare and loves what she does. She loves being able to watch each child grow into their own person and express their personalities in their own unique way! Autum was born and raised on a farm in Georgia, she has three wonderful kiddos of her own and is the second oldest of nine siblings! She loves working with kids and cannot wait to see who these sweet students grow up to become!

Hope Hunt

Biography

Hope is one of our Preppers teachers! She has been working with kids for over 6 years. She absolutely loves being a teacher and getting to help her students learn new things! A fun fact about Hope is that she grew up on a farm in Ohio. Her family moved down here 10 years ago, and now she lives in Easley with her husband, their son, 3 dogs, 4 cats, and some chickens! She thanks you for the opportunity she gets to make a difference in your child’s life!
