Our prep school facility is designed to fit our school values and mission. An open, friendly learning environment, our facility includes a gymnasium, theater, traveling technology center, language lab, outdoor learning and play, art studio, and music hall.

Secure

Entry to our facility is allowable through key fob entry only. A school-wide intercom system allows for immediate communication.

Anahi Arteaga

Biography

My name is Anahi Arteaga and I have been with Carolina Prep since October 2023, so just a few months. I got my education degree at USC Upstate in May 2023 and I have gotten 2 years of experience through my college career. My favorite thing about working with kids is being able to teach and see them grow. I’m not married and have no kids. Fun facts: I’m an only child and my favorite sport is basketball. Lastly, I have enjoyed the time I have gotten here and can’t wait to see what’s next for me here.

Biography

Jazzlynn Romero works as the Front Desk Administrator she will help answer and direct your questions to facilitate smooth communication between parents and the school. She was born and raised in San Jose, CA where she also attended San Jose State University and received her Bachelors in Social Work. She moved to South Carolina in 2021. She is a mom of 2 and 1 furbaby. She enjoys working out, shopping, and spending quality time with her family.

Biography

Ms. Humera is the Assistant Director of our school. She was born and raised in New York. She moved to South Carolina in 2019. She joined our Carolina Prep family in July of 2023. She has a passion for working with children and seeing their eyes glow as they discover and learn something new. In her free time, she loves shopping and spending time with her fiancé and their daughter. She’s excited to be a part of the Carolina Prep family!

Chris Huff

Biography

My name is Chris Huff and I have been with Carolina Prep since June of 2023- most of my teaching experience has been with ages 4-High School. I have been in leadership positions on and off for over 18 years. I have oversaw multiple childcare sites at one time and oversaw as little as two at one time. I am a married father of 5 myself. 3 girls and 2 boys. My favorite thing about working with children is shaping the future. You never know if you’re helping mold the next president, the next CEO, or someone who will change the world in their field. I am excited to be a part of Carolina Prep and being a part of an amazing family.

Courtney Geese

Biography

Miss. Courtney is one of our floater teachers here at Carolina Prep. She has 4 years experience in childcare and 2 years experience in in-home/date night care. She enjoys working with our preschool ages (infant-5years) and helping the children grow and meet developmental milestones. She really enjoys singing, reading, and playing with the littles. When she’s not at work she loves relaxing at home with her dog lilly or going downtown for walks. A unique fact about her is that she was born with cleft lip and palate so she has a heart for others with special needs. She enjoys being able to see everyone in the school and floating around and helping when needed!

Biography

Mrs. Kathy works in our Toddler classroom. She was born and raised in New Hampshire and after living in Texas, moved to Greenville to be near her grandson. She has been working in the field of early childhood education since 2006 and has spent time with all ages.  She showers her students and families with love and attention!  In her free time, Kathy loves to bake, shop, and spend time with her husband, three children, and grandson.

Mrs. Breanna (Bree) works with our older infants in the Infant 2 classroom. She has worked with children for 9 years. She has two children, Michael (4) and Paislie (1). She has been married for almost 5 years. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband, her children, and shopping at Target.

Biography

Autum is one of our floaters who has a year’s experience in childcare and loves what she does. She loves being able to watch each child grow into their own person and express their personalities in their own unique way! Autum was born and raised on a farm in Georgia, she has three wonderful kiddos of her own and is the second oldest of nine siblings! She loves working with kids and cannot wait to see who these sweet students grow up to become!

Misty White

Biography

Mrs. White works in our Primary School and is the kindergarten teacher. She graduated from USC Upstate with a B.A. in Education and holds her certification in Early Childhood Development by the South Carolina State Board of Education. While completing her degree, Misty volunteered in Greenville County classrooms, as well as led weekly classroom reading programs. She has worked in kindergarten classrooms at both Brushy Creek Elementary and Mountain View Elementary schools. Mrs. White was also an Elementary School Age Children’s Director at a local church, where her responsibilities included, but were not limited to curriculum development, teaching, and scheduling. Misty has a passion for helping children learn and grow, and she has been a part of the Carolina Prep team since January 2011.

Angel is our Infant Lead teacher she has been teaching here since October of 2023 & has loved each and every moment of it! She is 26 years old and has a 4 year old daughter & has been married to her husband since 2019. Since a young age, Ms. Angel knew she always wanted to work with children in some type of way. She has worked in childcare for 8 years. Being able to bring smiles and giggles to young kids faces and helping them grow, learn & develop has been such a blessing. She goes out of her way to make sure all the parents are happy and feel comfortable leaving their sweet babies in her care.

Melissa Sharpless

Pre-K
Biography

Mrs. Sharpless works with the 4-year-olds in our Pre-K classroom. She grew up in Sumter, South Carolina and graduated from Laurence Manning Academy.  She received a BA degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.  Mrs. Sharpless has taught pre-school for 17 years and loves working with her Pre-K group.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers!

Hope Hunt

Biography

Hope is one of our Preppers teachers! She has been working with kids for over 6 years. She absolutely loves being a teacher and getting to help her students learn new things! A fun fact about Hope is that she grew up on a farm in Ohio. Her family moved down here 10 years ago, and now she lives in Easley with her husband, their son, 3 dogs, 4 cats, and some chickens! She thanks you for the opportunity she gets to make a difference in your child’s life!

Melinda Whitfield

Mrs. Whitfield works with the Primary School and the Pre-K classroom as the STEAM enrichment teacher.
